12. 10. 2026 06:26 – ISSUE IDENTIFIED
“We are investigating reports of degraded performance when transferring data over the public internet between certain cities and provinces in mainland China and origin servers located outside the region. The impact is being reported across multiple internet service providers and manifests as lower speeds or occasional timeouts. Although this congestion is occurring upstream of the Cloudflare network, our engineering team is actively working to mitigate its impact. Occasional 524 timeout errors are expected to continue due to the ongoing congestion. Since full resolution depends on factors outside our network, we do not have a firm timeline, but we are taking steps to reduce the impact on customers.”

12. 10. 2026 17:40 – ISSUE IDENTIFIED
“We have identified that increased latency and 5xx errors affecting certain China Network colocation centers are caused by instability in cross-border routing within the Chinese network. We are actively working to mitigate the impact on affected customers by adjusting data routing and continue to work with our network partners to resolve the issue. Customers experiencing issues can contact Cloudflare Support.”
