Samsung Wallet to Add USDC International Transfers in the U.S. in Late October
Samsung Electronics America plans to make USDC transfers to international crypto wallets and selected bank accounts available to eligible users in the U.S. during the final week of October 2026.

Samsung Wallet USDC transfers are expected to launch in the U.S. during the final week of October 2026. Samsung Electronics America announced that eligible users of the app on compatible Galaxy devices will be able to send the USDC stablecoin to compatible crypto wallets abroad and eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries. For bank transfers, the recipient is expected to receive the local currency.
However, this will not be a global rollout for all Samsung phone owners. At launch, the service will be intended for users in the U.S. who meet the eligibility requirements. Samsung refers to approximately 82 million compatible Galaxy devices in the U.S.; this figure does not represent the number of active or automatically eligible users.
What Samsung Wallet USDC transfers will offer
USDC will be the first supported stablecoin. Users are expected to have two basic options: send USDC to a compatible crypto wallet abroad or initiate a transfer to an eligible bank account. In the latter case, the system is expected to deliver the funds to the recipient in their local currency.
Samsung says it will not charge its own fee for sending USDC to an external wallet. However, costs may arise elsewhere, such as on the receiving wallet or crypto exchange’s side. Bank transfers will be charged according to the destination country and amount sent. A complete fee schedule has not yet been published.
Using the feature will require a Samsung Account, identity verification and biometric authentication. Samsung also emphasizes that it will not be the custodian of customer funds or a money-transfer provider.
Partners and blockchain infrastructure
Bastion is expected to be responsible for the cross-border payment framework. Coinbase Prime will provide USDC custody. Samsung also named the Solana and Sui networks among its technology partners, which are expected to provide the blockchain infrastructure.
However, the announcement does not specify which particular types of transfers will use Solana and which will use Sui. It has also not been confirmed whether users will be able to choose the network used for a transfer. Therefore, it would not be accurate to describe the upcoming feature as an integration built exclusively on one of these networks.
Launch limitations
Availability will depend on the user’s U.S. eligibility, a compatible Galaxy device and completion of identification requirements. For international bank transfers, support for the specific country and recipient bank will also be important. Samsung has not yet published a complete list of supported countries, banks, devices or all fees.
The exact launch date during the final week of October 2026 has also not been announced. It is not known whether the feature will be rolled out gradually. Users will therefore need to monitor the conditions after the launch itself, particularly the range of supported destinations and the practical costs of each sending method.
Samsung Wallet USDC transfers expand the app with a stablecoin feature intended for the U.S. market and cross-border payments. At launch, however, it will be a service with clearly defined eligibility and technical and geographic parameters that have not yet been fully disclosed.
