OpenAI Rolls Out GPT-6 and Intelligent UI in ChatGPT
OpenAI has begun rolling out GPT-6 and Intelligent UI globally in ChatGPT. The new feature may display forms, charts, buttons and interactive tools within conversations.

On October 7, 2026, OpenAI announced the rollout of GPT-6 and Intelligent UI in ChatGPT. Intelligent UI may expand responses with graphics, forms, buttons, charts or interactive tools directly within conversations. The rollout began globally for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise subscribers.
For Free and Go users, the new feature is expected to become available on October 8. However, it will not be enabled for all accounts immediately: OpenAI says the rollout is gradual, and availability may vary depending on the account, client in use or workspace settings.
GPT-6 and Intelligent UI change the shape of responses
The existing chat format is not expected to remain limited to text for suitable tasks. According to OpenAI, Intelligent UI may create interface elements suited to a specific request. Possible scenarios include forms, controls, graphics, charts or interactive tools depending on the type of task.
OpenAI also says that a response may begin appearing while the model is still reasoning or using tools. Users therefore may not necessarily have to wait for the entire response to be completed before its first part is displayed.
This change moves ChatGPT from a fixed conversational interface toward a format in which the model is expected to adapt the form of its response to the prompt. The practical benefit will also depend on whether the model selects an appropriate interactive element and whether the data in the response is correct. The reliability of this decision-making and its impact on response accuracy have not yet been independently confirmed.
Two models based on subscription type
In paid plans, ChatGPT is expected to use GPT-6 Sol. Free and Go plans are expected to receive GPT-6 Luna. According to OpenAI, the October change does not affect models for Work or Codex.
For Enterprise customers, the announcement itself may not mean immediate access. Updated release notes state that availability also depends on workspace administrator settings. Companies may therefore see the new feature at a different time than individual users of paid versions.
What has not yet been confirmed
For GPT-6, OpenAI cites improvements in safety, jailbreak resistance and response quality. However, these are results presented by the company itself; independent comparisons of model behavior in everyday use have not yet been confirmed.
Accessibility and usability of Intelligent UI across clients and task types also remain open questions. For responses containing automatically generated forms, charts or tools, it remains important to check the inputs, resulting data and meaning of individual interface elements.
What to watch during the rollout
In the coming days, it will be important to see whether access for Free and Go expands globally from October 8 without major outages. User experiences with the accuracy, accessibility and operation of the new interface also deserve attention, as do independent tests of GPT-6 Sol and Luna against previous models.
OpenAI may later clarify limitations, privacy protections and support for individual platforms. For users, the key questions for now are whether GPT-6 and Intelligent UI are already appearing in their ChatGPT and which model their plan uses.
